Tom and Thomas Monday 11 September 2023

Tom & Thomas tied the knot on Monday 11 September 2023 with a beautiful ceremony in the Library, followed by a beautiful reception in the Crosby Suite

They say opposites attract, but in this case its a little different. These two share style, passions, interests and yes... the same name!

What started over a few DMs soon turned into something special. T&T wanted a day that would be etched in everyone's memories - a day filled with love, laughter, and breath-taking beauty and wow, it was just that! The styling, the flowers, the dogs, the waiters, the laughter - this wedding had everything and we're obsessed.

Read on to find out how they fell in love, chose their suppliers and how a not so secret engagement ring was a little bit of a giveaway for what was to come....

We hope you feel inspired!

So, how did you two meet?

I would love to spin a tale of how we crossed paths by chance on the mesmerising Amalfi Coast, but in truth, it all started with a simple gesture of liking a few Instagram photos, which led to an unexpected direct message. I suppose, compared to other online methods, this is a tiny bit more romantic!

When did you know they were 'the one'/how did they pop the question?

We knew we had stumbled upon something extraordinary when we discovered just how much we had in common - from our shared tastes and style to our passion for the same interests. While some say opposites attract, it turned out that in our case, two people called 'the same' were drawn to each other. It wasn't a surprise when Tom spontaneously suggested a trip to one of our cherished spots in Manchester. I could sense that something big was about to happen - and the poorly concealed engagement ring in his office was a dead giveaway.

What was the biggest MUST HAVE for your wedding?

FLOWERS! We were determined to create a wedding day that would be etched in everyone's memories - a day filled with love, laughter, and breathtaking beauty. And for us, flowers played a crucial role in achieving that vision. We believed that they would be the crowning glory, enhancing every other element of our decorations.

Other than saying 'I do', what is the most unforgettable moment from the day?

Definitely the speeches, we didn't expect anything less than our family and friends to share funny stories throughout our lives. This is one of the most unforgettable moments of the wedding day.

Which supplier was a real stand out for you? The unsung star who deserves a special mention.

We loved all our suppliers, but Joel Skingle was the unsung star! Not only did he make us feel at ease as a couple, but all our guests sung his praises as well!

What was it in your eyes that gives Rudding Park the WOW factor?

From the very first time we visited Rudding Park as a couple seeking an escape from the chaos of everyday life, we fell head over heels in love with it. There were countless factors that made Rudding Park an obvious choice for us, leaving us with no doubts whatsoever. The exceptional service provided by the staff, the stunning wedding suites, and the heavenly spa all contributed to its irresistible charm. The entire setting of Rudding Park exudes a fairytale-like aura, creating an atmosphere that feels straight out of a storybook. It's truly a place where dreams come true.

How did you style your space? Did your wedding day have a theme?

When it came to designing our wedding, our aim was to create a timeless, classic vibe that would remain as beautiful in photographs years from now as it was on the big day. We preferred the idea of a look that would be independent of trends, capable of standing alone without losing its luster. We favoured the timeless combination of black and white accents, accented with stunningly arranged roses and other flowers to create a minimalist and elegant ambiance.

What is your funniest memory from the day?

Definitely everyones faces at the waiter surprise when they started to sing! Everybody still goes on about that moment to this day.

What's the best advice you could give to couples who are about to tie the knot at Rudding Park?

If any point you're feeling lost or struggling, Rudding Park was definitely on hand to answer any questions and make us feel at ease. Remember to enjoy your wedding, try not to stress and remember you're getting married because you love the other person.

And finally, we'd love to hear about your experience with Rudding Park....

From the instant we set foot on the grounds of Rudding Park, every moment has been nothing short of flawless. The staff members have been incredibly warm and attentive, and the services and amenities provided have exceeded our expectations at every turn. Being in this space has made us feel genuinely embraced and valued, and it's a place we will undoubtedly return to time and time again with joy.
