Sami and Rob Saturday 15 July 2023

Sami and Rob tied the knot on Saturday 15 July 2023 with a ceremony in the chapel followed by a beautiful reception in the Radcliffe room.

With a mutual friend playing cupid, their love story started when they locked eyes on a station platform - we know right, how very romantic comedy of them!

Though, the only comedy in this wedding day is the pair playing a practical joke on their best man. S&R managed to make the best man believe he'd lost the wedding rings, only to be surprised by two sausages saving the day.

With an incredible eye for detail, Sami and Rob transformed the Radcliffe Room into a dried flower haven. Think Gypsophila and neutral dried flowers! With no detail missed the pair had a live painter, phone guest book, a bath tub photobooth, perfect personalised details and cocktails galore!

Read on to find out how they fell in love and chose their suppliers!

We hope you feel inspired...

So, how did you two meet?

We met through a mutual friend who lived and worked in London with Rob. Playing Cupid she said to Rob how she wants to set us both up! So we agreed and went on our first date in London and the rest is history!

When did you know they were 'the one'/how did they pop the question?

Instantly, when we first met at Euston train station! 11 months later Rob popped the question in Somerset on a staycation.

What was the biggest MUST HAVE for your wedding?

Our two sausage dogs Bella and Bonny being our ring bearers! Bow Wow Vow made that happen by providing their Pet Plus 1 services :)

Other than saying 'I do', what is the most unforgettable moment from the day?

Partying till 4am with our friends and family.

Which supplier was a real stand out for you? The unsung star who deserves a special mention.

Bow Wow Vow without a doubt :)

What was it in your eyes that gives Rudding Park the WOW factor?

The staff go above and beyond to ensure every minor detail is taken care of and to the highest quality.

How did you style your space? Did your wedding day have a theme?

It was a very neutral theme, with nude and white dried flowers everywhere with a beautiful Gypsophila arch way over the chapel entrance.

What is your funniest memory from the day?

Tricking our best man in to thinking he had lost the rings at the chapel but in actual fact we had planned for Bow wow vow to arrange our two dogs to be ring bearers as a surprise to all of our guests.

What's the best advice you could give to couples who are about to tie the knot at Rudding Park?

Make the most of every opportunity to visit Rudding before and after your wedding day. Get a feel of the venue as much as possible and get to know the staff as much as you can. This place feels like a second home to us now :)

And finally, we'd love to hear about your experience with Rudding Park....

We can’t simply put in to words how Rudding Park made us feel on the lead up to our wedding but also on our wedding day. No expenses were spared and the staff went above and beyond to make everything as stress free as possible. We would have our wedding day exactly the same if we could :)
