Rebecca and Craig Friday 12 August 2022

Rebecca and Craig tied the knot on Friday 12 August 2022 with a beautiful wedding reception in the Radcliffe Room.

R&C are all about family and it was important that their day would be something that family and closest friends wouldn’t forget. So when they included 'feeling like part of the ‘Rudding Park family' in their comments, you can imagine that that was the testimonial of them all!

With singing waiters and a visit to love island - there reception was a hoot! No, literally. Owls and all.

We hope you feel inspired...

So, how did you two meet?

Online.

When did you know they were ‘the one’/ how did they pop the question?

I knew he was the one when he shared my outlook on life, loving nature, travel, and being family oriented, hard-working, but also having a sense of fun. He took me to Mexico for my birthday, to the restaurant Puerto Madero. There he got down on one knee and proposed with the most beautiful engagement ring.

What was the biggest MUST HAVE for your wedding?

For our day to be beautiful, fun, classic and memorable. A day that we, our family and closest friends wouldn’t forget. For our children to be there, and for our closest that we have lost (including my Mother), to be part of the day.

Other than saying ‘I do’ what is the most unforgettable moment from the day?

Seeing that the day meant as much to everybody as it did to us.

Which supplier was a real stand out for you? The unsung star who deserves a special mention.

Adore Event Dressers. They are a small family run business, but they absolutely blew us away with how beautifully they dressed our room, paying attention to all of the small detail that we had discussed with them, it took our breath away.

What was it in your eyes that gives Rudding Park the WOW factor?

The opulent stately house, beautiful grounds/golf, the people – that they are interchangeably and effortlessly so professional and friendly. The fantastic package, including cinema, golf and spa access leading up to the wedding (even though with children we didn’t get as much time as we would have liked to spend there). Then complimentary stay for your first anniversary, which is a lovely gesture. How they look after you, leaving you feeling like part of the ‘Rudding Park family’.

How did you style the space? Did your wedding day have a theme?

The style was opulent and classic, with blush pinks and oyster greys.

What is your funniest memory from the day?

The singing staff waiter falling on the floor, to the shock of our guests, then them realising he was acting and actually one of our singers.

What’s your best advice you could give to couples who are about to tie the knot at Rudding Park?

Enjoy every minute.

And finally, we’d love to hear about your experience with Rudding Park…

We absolutely love Rudding Park, we hope that it will remain part of our life for a long time to come. The staff were amazing, the place is amazing. No matter how many times you visit, you always want to come back. Our home from home, our happy place.
