Louise and Michael Friday 15 September 2023

Louise and Michael tied the knot on Wednesday 23 August 2023 with a gorgeous wedding breakfast in Clocktower Private Dining Room.

Their intimate celebration saw a few of their closest family & friends witness two worlds become one. This friends to lovers story is one you might read about in the romance novels. True soulmates and best friends, their day was laidback and all about the love the pair share.

With moments for the couple to escape for portraits in the grounds of Rudding Park, incredible neutral tones and delicate floral arrangements, it was a day to remember.

Read on to find out how they fell in love, chose their suppliers and how the groom Michael may have slipped up in the vows!

We hope you feel inspired...

So, how did you two meet?

Michael and I met in Manchester through mutual friends. What started out as friends developed into an amazing relationship and 10 years later we got married!

When did you know they were 'the one'/how did they pop the question?

Michael and I consider each other to be soulmates and best friends. Michael popped the question in Kyoto, Japan! It was the trip of a lifetime made even better by a surprise proposal 😃

What was the biggest MUST HAVE for your wedding?

Changing bag and an array of toys for our 5 month old baby!

Other than saying 'I do', what is the most unforgettable moment from the day?

Arriving at Rudding Park to see our beautiful private dining room set up to perfection. The service was seamless and no request was too much. We were so looked after and made to feel amazing all day.

Which supplier was a real stand out for you? The unsung star who deserves a special mention.

Georgia Horn our photographer was just incredible. We have been completely blown away by the photos and she captured our day so well. She blended in so well despite it being a very intimate wedding.

What was it in your eyes that gives Rudding Park the WOW factor?

The service and the grounds.

How did you style your space? Did your wedding day have a theme?

Our style is very laid back. We included neutral warm tones with our flowers, cake and favours. This matched perfectly to the gardens and greenery just next door to our dining room.

What is your funniest memory from the day?

Michael getting the vows wrong! We all had a big laugh and some funny photos from the moment.

What's the best advice you could give to couples who are about to tie the knot at Rudding Park?

Trust the staff, no request was too much and they were able to pre-empt and sort any issues.

And finally, we'd love to hear about your experience with Rudding Park....

Our stay was fantastic. We were upgraded to a suite which really was breathtaking. The food was delicious and the standout was the service- every member of staff was warm, welcoming and put real effort into making our stay perfect. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed at a better hotel.
