Discover the sky at night.
Astronomer, Richard Darn who helped establish Europe’s largest Dark Sky Park, will help newcomers to stargazing find their way around the cosmos. Richard will provide an informative and engaging presentation to guide delegates around some of the more easily recognisable features of the night sky; before venturing outside to observe the night sky.
“We will go in search of the brilliant winter stars and constellations. Star clusters and colourful double stars are some of the wonders we will reveal along with Mars spied through a powerful telescope and the distant icy world of Uranus. We will also keep our eyes peeled for shooting stars and if the moon is in the sky take you on a fly-by of craters and mountain ranges!”
